The SLR Honda team took on the first round of the 2020 WORCS series in Primm, NV on January 26, 2020. Trevor Stewart landed himself a 5th place position and Cole Martinez finished in 8th in the Pro Class. In the Pro 2 class, Tallon Lafountaine came home with a 7 th place finish.
Stewart had a good race from starting in 9th and working his way to 4 th place for the majority of the race and then finally crossing the finish line in 5th. With room for improvement on Stewart’s suspension and overall comfort on the bike, he is finding his flow at each race.
Martinez road strong throughout the race and held onto 3rd place until a rear hub broke that ultimately placed him in 8th at the finish line.
In the Pro 2 class, Lafountaine had a rough start but pushed his way to 3 rd place. After his rear brake pedal ripped off he fell into 7th place where he finished.
SLR Honda will be competing in their next race for NGPC in Taft, CA on February 9, 2020.
