Race Action

In the Pro class, team rider Cole Martinez #34 started the race in a strong position and quickly made his way to 2nd place to battle with the lead rider. With only a 15-second gap, Martinez consistently pushed the opportunity to pass 1st place but finished his race in 2nd on the all-new 2021 CRF450RX. Tallon Lafountaine #1, defending Pro II champion, came back strong this season. Starting in 5th place, Lafountaine was able to push himself into a top three leader position within the first few laps of the race. All three riders kept a fast pace and a competitive battle for a podium position. Lafountaine crossed the finish line in 2nd place for his first race of the season.
In the amateur class, Allen Mendelssohn suffered a crash in 250A that took him out of the Open A race with teammate Even Stice. Stice got off to a 2nd place start, battling with the lead bike and staying closely behind until the pit, where he made a strategic pass for the lead position. Stice brought home a win in the Open A class and significant momentum for the next round in Taft, Ca.
