2022 NGPC Series Delta, Utah | Round 6
Race Report and Photos
On May 15th, Bunkerhill Mx and RMX hosted the sixth round of NGPC. The track prep and venue was great resulting in an awesome track for some exciting racing. Our guys stepped up and got on the podium in all three classes. Cole Martinez had a good ride and grabbed a third, Jack Simpson had another consistent ride in second, and Collier Martinez dominated once again in the “Open A” class.
Race Action
Cole Martinez got off to a top five start and was battling up front. Due to a crash in practice, he was banged up and off pace of the lead. Once he settled into third he rode smoothly to the finish.
Tallon Lafountaine got off to a good start before making quick moves and getting into third. He battled with his teammate Cole Martinez for the first few laps. Tallon then settled into a top five spot during the first hour. Despite an early injury and not having many four-fifty races under his belt, it was a step in the right direction. Retiring early from the race due to torn up hands.
Jack Simpson started mid-pack and picked his way through early. Before he got into second the leader was already too far gone. His speed and consistency led to another second place finish. Resulting in his fifth NGPC second of the year.
Collier Martinez got up front early in the “Open A” class. Despite starting about a minute behind the “Pro II” class, by the end of the race he was knocking on the top five. Collier has been riding great and has dominated the Open A class so far this year.
